Al is a life-long cartoonist whose editorial cartoon work has appeared in nearly all of the New Jersey area newspapers, including the New York Times. His sports cartoons have appeared in Ring magazine and on Sports Illustrated's Web site. His animated cartoons have been featured on PBS, USA Network and NJN.
Al is also the New Media Manager for Phase 2 Studios and his 11 years of experience creating multimedia and Web sites makes him especially qualified to illustrate the Nerdy Books pages.
Through the miracle of modern hypnotherapy, Al was recently able to recall his inner child's early upbringing by a dysfunctional family of wolves. This might explain why late at night, when the moon rises, he feels compelled to pick up a pen and unleash the dark forces inside himself. In the morning he is left with numerous drawings, but no memory of what happened.
